I agree. It was fitting for him to have that record. I am quoting someone else here (can't remember who) that the highest ODI score was previously held by a batsman who was talented but definitely not exceptional. Now it just feels better.
I am the average Autokaaran from Chennai. My principles in life are similar to the tenets of the profession. I am impatient, arrogant, having unique opinions on everything (and forcing it on those who happen to be with me) and an ardent fan of thalaivar.
I would rather sit at the same spot for hours rather than earn a bit by taking people around. Would blame the system for everything while being a part of the same system. Will try to cut corners everytime. I am of the staunch opinion that if my auto's front wheel can sneak through, then the rest of the Auto will follow through automatically. I am a hypocrite too. You know, just like how I drive my Auto: ninna edathulaye U-turn adipen. I am proud of my city, my area and my stand and I am possesive of these in the opposite order.
So now that you are one of my many savaaris, its upto you to not become a saavu-kraaki by giving me something above the meter by leaving a comment or two instead of just riding the auto and getting off. I promise, I will stand outside your house with my auto and hurl expletives till you or your husband/wife or son/daughter or neighbour/association secretary comes and gives me some 'extra'.

I wonder why nobody is talking about the fact that it is the fastest one day double century to date.. :|
read up on Anjali Tendulkar if you have the time.
@ Filarial: only you can think of such things :P
@ Anjana: I tried but did not find anything interesting or unusual. If there is any specific article you are referring to, please give me the link.
